Meet the My Word Team.
My Word was founded by long time friends
and collaborators Ian Bennett and
Henning Krull,
who over the years have striven to better understand
each other's language.
Now we're helping others to do the same.

Ian
Bennett, from Wigan in North West England, holds an
honours degree in
German Studies from the University of Manchester. He is a PGCE
qualified teacher for modern foreign languages, with seven
years
experience of teaching English as a foreign language in Hamburg, as
well as teaching German in English schools. Ian is also a well
practised and skillful translator, having worked for a broad range of
sectors.
His interests include literature, music (composing and
playing), and gardening. He is a big fan of Liverpool Football Club,
and gets to see the odd game at Anfield when he's home visiting his
family. Ian co-produced and co-directed the successful 60 minute
wrestling documentary "Catch the
Hold Not Taken" with Mike Todd of Riverhorse TV.
Role at My Word: teaching, translating, proof-reading, interpreting,
and role-playing. |

Henning Krull, a
native of Sörup, near Flensburg, is a dedicated
Anglophile, with a degree from the University of Berlin, and a natural
flair for, and love of language, be it German or English. His
enthusiasm for the English language lead to him meeting Ian Bennett for
the first time in 1991 on a school exchange. Henning has experience in
the marketing sector, as well as an impressive track record as a
translator and language consultant.
His interests include music,
both playing and listening, sport, and literature, especially old
classics. He is also a keen traveller, with
experience of
many cultures.
